Real Madrid’s trophy cabinet: The reason behind Apple’s new ultra wide-angle camera.

You heard it right. Real Madrid were the inspiration behind Apple’s invention of the new Ultra wide-angle camera. Tim Cook stumbled upon the idea for their latest ultrawide angle camera after witnessing the sheer magnitude of Real Madrid’s trophy cabinet.

Tim Cook’s visit to the Bernabeu

Rumor has it that last year Apple CEO, Tim Cook visited Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium and while looking at the trophy cabinet he realized that he could not capture all the trophies with his iPhone.

So when we returned to California he put Apple’s best engineers to make a camera for the next iPhone that could capture all of Real Madrid’s trophies in one shot, and thus the new ultra wide-angle camera lens was founded.

Well, jokes apart Real Madrid does have a huge trophy cabinet, and to capture that in one photo is simply impossible just have a look at amount of trophies in the video below.

As you can see, even with the Ultra wide-angle camera it is difficult to capture all the trophies that Real Madrid have because the Spanish giants have won more than 100 trophies in their history.

Real Madrid is one of the most decorated clubs in the history of Football, just look at some of the trophies that they have :

UEFA Champions League: 14

UEFA Super Cup: 5

La Liga: 35

Copa Del Rey: 20

FIFA Club World Cup: 5

Real Madrid were also declared the Club of the 20th Century by FIFA  and the list goes on and on. So if you are planning to visit Real Madrid’s museum make sure you have a wide-angle mode or a panorama mode on your phones camera, because it will surely come in handy.
