Inter Kashi FC Confirm ₹60 Crore AFC-Compliant Stadium Project in Varanasi

Inter Kashi FC have taken a landmark step in Indian football by officially confirming plans to build a dedicated, football-specific stadium in Varanasi, marking a bold vision for the club’s long-term future.

The Indian Super League (ISL) club has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with C.M. Anglo Bengali College (CMAB) to develop an AFC Category 2/3 compliant stadium in the Bhelupura locality. This ambitious project, estimated at a cost of ₹60 crore, will give Inter Kashi FC a permanent home ground in Uttar Pradesh and firmly establish Varanasi on India’s football map.

Designed as a modern football-only venue, the upcoming stadium will have a seating capacity of around 5,500 and will be equipped with international-standard facilities. From player amenities and media infrastructure to fan-friendly matchday experiences, the project aims to meet Asian Football Confederation (AFC) regulations and elevate professional football standards in the region.

This development is being widely seen as a significant boost for football infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, a state with immense sporting potential but limited top-tier football facilities. By investing in a dedicated stadium, Inter Kashi FC are not only strengthening their own identity but also contributing to grassroots development, talent pathways, and the overall football ecosystem in North India.

Once completed, Inter Kashi FC will become only the second club in the country, after Jamshedpur FC, to own a dedicated, top-tier home facility built specifically for football. This places the club in an elite category within Indian football, highlighting the importance of infrastructure-led growth in the ISL and beyond.
