Is Portugal better without Cristiano Ronaldo

Congratulations to Portugal fans as finally Portugal has qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2026 by beating Armenia 9-1, which was a must-win game for them, and this game was without Cristiano Ronaldo.

Now the big question arising among the people is whether Portugal is better without Cristiano Ronaldo or if Cristiano Ronaldo is holding back Portugal? For me, all this is coming from the banter side of the people, to make everything revolve around Ronaldo’s bad form. As I mentioned in my video, Portugal beat Armenia at their home 5-0, in which Cristiano Ronaldo scored 2 goals; he has scored against Spain,  against Germany too, and we should shift our thoughts to how Portugal played today.

Portugal looked really solid. Defensively, they were compact. Bruno Fernandes had a really good game, Joao Neves played really well too, and Renato Viega looked so reliable in the Center back partnership with Ruben Dias. Rafael Leao is struggling in some matches, which is concerning for this Portugal side. Joao Cancelo played in the absence of Nuno Mendes and did his job too. Gonçalo Ramos played a really good game, and for Roberto Martínez, he can be a really good option in place of Cristiano Ronaldo.

In contrast, what I want to say is, we should focus more on other important things than only bantering or teasing players and making fun of them. Once again, congratulations to the Portugal fans for qualifying for the World Cup, and do let me know your thoughts too!
