Erling Haaland bags a Brace as Manchester City put 5 past Burnley.

Just when everyone thought Haaland was having an off day, he scored a brace in injury time. That’s Erling Haaland for you, and that’s Manchester City for you. Clinical, Ruthless, and in control, and dare I say it looks like we are back.

We were in control throughout the game, and on it since minute 1. The first goal might go down as an own goal, but that move from Doku was filthy, dazzling past 3 defenders like they weren’t even there, and then putting a dangerous ball into the box for Foden.

But as Manchester City often does, we again conceded on the break, and the first half ended level again.

Burnley started the second half well, but our quality was just too much for them, and 10 minutes into the second half, Manchester City took the lead back, thanks to a brilliant volley from Nunez from inside the box, and from there on, we never looked back.

City kept knocking on the door, and just 4 minutes after taking the lead, we doubled the advantage, thanks to another own goal from Maxime Esteve. With a 2-goal advantage, City were cruising, and it looked like the game was over.

But Erling Haaland just couldn’t stand a defender having more goals in a game than him, so he scored 2 quick goals, taking his tally to 8 Goals in 6 games in the Premier League. He is coming for that 50 Goal mark.

It is a 5-star performance from City; there may have been a few hot and cold moments in the game, but overall it was another positive night for Guardiola’s team.

Talking of positives, Jeremy Doku looks on another level this season. He had Kyle Walker and the whole Burnley defence terrified throughout the match. Foden looked good too, and Erling Haaland was well, Erling Haaland.

Liverpool have dropped points for the first time this season and have looked a bit shaky at the back, so if Manchester City can continue this winning form, the title race might get very interesting as the season progresses.

I read about football and turn it into stories—sometimes funny, sometimes emotional, but always real. For me, football has never been about formations or stats. It’s about the memories, the chaos, and those moments fans never forget. The kind of things you still talk about with your friends long after the final whistle. That’s what I try to capture here.
