Serie A Gameweek 6 Roundup | 5 Things We Learnt From Gameweek 6 in Serie A

Introduction

Ciao Ciao! Friends, Matchday 6 of Serie A is wrapped up, and so here we are discussing it. Welcome to the Serie A Matchday 6 Roundup, India’s home for Italian football fans—stories, debates, and pure calcio passion.  Here, we will recap on what happened in last weekend’s fixtures. So, let’s dive in.

5 Things We Learnt From Matchday 4 in Serie A

Here we will discuss what happened in the last Gameweek of Serie A and discuss what we learned from it. Starting from number 5.

5. Pioli’s Struggle continues as Fiorentina have accumulated only three points from six games.

stefano-pioli

Padre Pioli’s Fiorentina’s struggle in the Serie A continues, as they have accumulated just three points from six games so far in the season, which is not an ideal start for them. The pressure is certainly there over Pioli, as the romance doesn’t seem to work for the second time, as it did before. Lots of work is left to do for Fiorentina as they are languishing near the relegation zone at 17th, and they have a long way to go from here.

4. Bonny, the new Nerazzurri star in the making?

Bonny

At Number 4,  we have the new superstar in the town for Inter as Ange-Yoan Bonny has netted three assists and a single goal in what was his first start for the Nerazzurri, by really commanding his presence over the pitch and rightly earning the nickname of “Baby Thuram”. Another striker partner looks to be developing beside Lautaro Martinez, as it seems. By the way, the credits should be due to our fellow Calcio enthusiast Stuntpegg, who recognized his talent while young Bonny was at Parma.

3. Torino and Marco Baroni’s troubles are getting deeper as they have won only one game from six.

Marco Baroni

Coming to number three, it looks like Torino are in deep trouble, while Marco Baroni gets into a scuffle with a journalist as the situation doesn’t look ideal for either the club or the manager. Although Baroni does have the vote of confidence to keep his. Also, on a side note, as of now, there has been no sacking done by the Serie A clubs, which comes as a surprise for the league, as this is the first time in the last eight seasons that there have been no sackings in Serie A before the second international break kicks off.

2. Bologna back in business, as they ease past Pisa by a margin of four goals

Bologna

Coming to number two, Bologna looks to be back in business by gunning past Pisa by four goals to nil. An absolute one-sided performance by Bologna, as young Nicolo Cambiaghi, who has just earned his call for the Azzurri, put on an impressive display. Just on a side note, for Pisa, it was young Louis Buffon who made his debut, yes, the son of Gigi Buffon is here as he made his senior debut for Pisa, and it’s incredible that the Buffon legacy lives on in culture.

1. No Room to Breathe for Clubs at the Top as Serie A’s early Title Race heats up

Serie A trophy

Coming to number one, it’s getting crowded at the top once again. So far, just early signs, but Serie A promises to be an entertaining race this season. Napoli, Roma, Milan, Juve, Inter, all being there to compete for the top spot, and do not forget Atalanta as well. The top six is really crowded at this point, and we can’t wait for the international break to get over so that Serie A and Calcio can resume.

So, that being said, here we wrap up the Serie A Matchday 6 Roundup. If you enjoyed this, don’t miss out on our daily coverage brought to you by Calcio Charcha – the dedicated home for Indian fans of Italian football. Until next time, ciao ciao!
