Optus Sport held exclusive PL rights for nearly a decade (2016–2025), but in June 2025, Nine Entertainment acquired them in a ~A$300 million deal, transferring coverage to Stan Sport starting August 1, 2025. Can Optus Customers still watch the English Premier League?
Yes, eligible Optus customers can get Stan Premium and Stan Sport for $9.99/month until January 8, 2026. After this period, the subscription price will revert to the standard rate.
From that point onward, Optus customers will continue to receive Stan Sport at no extra charge, but they will need to maintain an active Stan subscription starting from $12 per month to keep their Stan Sport access.
